Who we are

We are LGBTQ++ Affirming in both our lives and in our clinical approach. Some of the staff reside within the LGBTQ++ community. We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind based on sexual orientation or gender identity. 

We believe and are very much engaged in the support and inclusion of everyone one who reside withing the community because we believe that working together and supporting one another leads to a stronger and more engaged community. 

We are acutely aware of how marginalization can and does negatively impact the transgender and gender spectrum identified community. We understand the unique challenges and stand with all those who reside within this spectrum. 

At Identities Counseling we understand the injustices that current exist toward our community and take step to advocate for fairness and justice for all people. We work to inform policy and make changes that support and uplift the LGBTQ++ community. 

We understand that identity is not linier nor is it a singular concept. We understand that people coexist with different identities given the situation or circumstances and that their identities in the context of these situations can be different and distinct from one another. 

We believe that all people, regardless of race, ethnic affiliation, social affiliations deserve to be treated fairly. But beyond equality, meaning that we all deserve the same rights and protections, but we also believe that all people deserve equity meeting each individual where they are at to meet their specific and unique needs.
